Nuccio Bertone introduces the 'mock up' of the P400 Miura to Ferruccio Lamborghini.

It's the first time that the Miura gets its shape in full scale. At that time the mock up has only been half made and after the launch we will begin the symmetry needed to complete it and start making the prototype.

Marcello Gandini, who has started the project by making 1:10 four view sketches, has also made a 1:2 scale model.

That has been used by 'Cinghia' (Enzio Cinghani's nickname) to make the mock up.

The wheels are still those of the P400 chassis/engine, Piero Stroppa, who is attending, has not yet proposed its magnificent and inseparable wheels design.

We are attending the birth of an legendary automobile.

By Piero Stroppa

(Bertone designer).

And many thanks to our Cristina Guizzardi
